The
School
Aberffraw School is
a Primary School - that means that it is the first school that children
go to in Britain.
The school, like
Aberffraw itself, is small and friendly. There are 33 children with 2 teachers
and 1 Nursery Teacher. The children are split into three classes according
to age groups. The Nursery class for 3 year olds has 5 pupils, the Infants
class for 4-7 year olds has 17 pupils and the Junior class for 7-11 year
olds has 11 pupils. We start school at 9.00 and finish at 3.30, with a
morning and an afternoon break and lunch is between 12.00 and 1.00. The
nursery class only come in the afternoon.
We are taught in
both Welsh and English and learn Maths, English, Welsh and Science. We
also do Music, Art, Crafts, Sport and Gymnastics.
Every term we do
a project, where we choose a topic and learn all about it. You can see
some of our projects and other work by visiting the "Work & Term Projects"
Gallery below.
We like our school
and hope that you enjoy learning a little about it in these pages.
